Big Sky Farm Handweaving
Textiles for your Home - Beauty you can use
Hello, and welcome to my website! I have been weaving for 35 years, the last 25 of those in my studio here in Shoreham, Vermont. Looking out my window at the weather changing and the sheep and cattle grazing, I produce household fabrics for everyday use: kitchen towels of cotton, linen, and rayon, wool blankets and throws, and rag rugs from recycled clothing. I prefer to use lots of colors in my work, inspired by my yarn collection, the natural world, and the latest trends in interiors. I do all my own designing and many of the pieces are one-of-a-kind.
You can now follow me on Pinterest! Search for Lee Greenewalt- I will be posting photos of my new weaving and knitting, as well as inspirations and my other interests: quilting, nature, etc.
It is with some regret that I have closed my studio in Brandon, after four happy years weaving rugs and meeting friends there. My rug loom is now back at home, installed in my daughters' old bedroom, along with my mountains of fabric! I will continue my mission of turning color into textiles to cheer and bring comfort to your home, while enjoying more time with my family: a second grandchild is on the way! Please call or e-mail if I can weave something for you.
